Missed appointments and

non-attendance

Please be aware that, due to issues concerning patient safety, the

Practice operates within a strict patient boundary.  This means that we are only able to accept / retain patients who reside

within a set area.

Should you move to an address not included in this area, you will

unfortunately be asked to find a new doctor.

Please note that this is Practice Policy and standard procedure, as

agreed with both Health & Social Care Board and BSO.  

Unfortunately there can be no exceptions to this policy nor can it be judged on an individual patient to patient basis.

Unfortuantely, due to the numbers of missed appointments, the Practice has been forced to introduce a

strict Did not attend policy.  This means that should you miss 2 or more appointments in a period of 6

months you WILL be sent a warning letter. You may also be removed from the Practice list if you repeatedly

miss appointments despite warnings.

Please ensure that you attend your appointments or at the very least cancel those you are unable

to attend - appointments need to be cancelled with at least 15 minutes notice.

Tips to remember you appointment date include: putting note on fridge, adding reminder to phone, writing

in diary etc
