Confidentiality, Data Protection & GDPR ....

The Practice complies with all legislation in relation to the Data Protection Act 1998 & all new GDPR regulations.

This means the Practice can share information about you in order to provide any further medical treatment you may require, for example from district nurses and other hospital services.  A copy of our full GDPR policy can be found here

Reception and administration staff require access to your medical records in order to do their jobs effectively.

All members of staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the medical staff.

If you require any further information please speak to a member of the Admin team.

Chaperone Policy ....

In order to provide a safe and comfortable environment, the Practice actively encourages the use of chaperones during certain consultations and examinations.

Please speak to a member of the Reception team for more information.

Accessing your

Medical Records ....

If you require access to your records, please speak to a member of the Practice Team for more information or complete and return the application available here

Zero tolerance ....

Unfortunately due to multiple distressing incidents, the Practice has reluctantly been forced to adopt a policy of Zero Tolerance.  We will no longer tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour directed towards any member of the Practice team.  Any person found behaving in such a manner may be asked to find a new GP.

Non-attendance (DNA) ....

The Practice operates a strict policy in relation to non-attendance.  All appointments that are not attended / cancelled with advance notice, will be closely monitored.  Unfortunately patients who miss 3 or more appointments will be removed from the Practice List.

Should you feel uncomfortable  approaching the Practice directly with your complaint, you can also make contact  with the HSC or Patient Client Council, who will liaise with the Practice on your behalf.
