Tuesday PM 

Baby clinic is run by the doctors and Practice Nurse. 

It includes child developmental checks and immunisations and allows an opportunity to discuss other problems eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries.

Run by Laura, Practice Pharmacist & Dr Crothers.  This clinic covers all aspects of diabetic care.

Asthma / COPD clinic ....

This is run by our Practice Pharmacist in conjunction with the doctors.

Both face to face and telephone appointments are available.

Run by the Treatment Room staff & Practice Pharmacist in conjunction with the doctors for the monitoring of patients on warfarin medication.

Warfarin clinic ....

These clinics are run by our Practice Nurse in conjunction with the GPs.  Appointments are available for booking via Reception.

Cervical Smear Screening ....

This clinic is led by Dr Curran and is on an appointment basis only.  Patients will require a telephone consultation with a GP to be referred to this clinic.

Private referrals and follow up of private treatment......

The GP can write a letter to refer you to a private clinic or Consultant, you can sometimes also self refer to these clinics however please be aware that any tests or procedures are required the Private Clinic will be responsible for carrying these out and for all follow up.

Test results ....

Non-NHS Examinations & Requests ....

Test results are available by contacting the Practice by telephone after 11.00am.

 

The Reception staff can provide details of test results provided these have been signed off by the GP.

Anyone needing to discuss results with a GP should speak to reception advising them of this.

 

Disabled Access ....

Most of these services will incur a charge, a list of these is available from Reception.

Please be advised that all non NHS work will take up to 4 weeks to complete.

 

Should you require an appointment for a medical please ensure you advise the Receptionist of this as these appointments will generally need longer.

Immunisations & vaccinations ....

Wheelchair access to the building is via a ramp at the front entrance.  A lift is also available, if required, to all floors. Patient services are provided at ground floor level.  

If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.

Midwives do not attend the surgery.

Out of hours cover is provided by North & West Urgent Care who are available from 6.00pm Monday to Friday, at weekends and at holiday periods.

These are provided by the Practice Pharmacist/Practice Nurse.

A telephone appointment is required initially with the Practice Pharmacist who will discuss requirements and issue any required prescription.  A follow up appointment with the Practice Nurse will be given for administering any prescribed vaccinations.  Any vaccinations not recommended via NHS should be obtained via a travel clinic - the Practice Pharmacist will be able to advise of this during your telephone consultation.
