Booking an appointment or requesting a home visit

The Practice operates a telephone first consultation system for all GP appointments.  There are a limited number of calls available each day which are bookable on a first come first served basis from 8.30am either by telephone or by attending the Practice in person.

Home visit requests must be made by 9.30am and are only available for those who are immobile and unable to attend in person.

Once all available appointment slots have all been filled we will have reached maximum safe capacity for the day and no further requests for telephone calls will be taken.

Please be aware that GP is NOT an emergency service and should not be used as such.

When booking a telephone appointment, the Reception staff will ask for a brief summary of your symptoms along with a suitable contact telephone number on which to receive a call back from a member of the medical team, this can include a GP, a Practice Pharmacist or a Nurse Practitioner.

This information is requested in order that medical staff can prioritise their call list based on urgency and that your call is dealt with by the most appropriate member of the clinical team.

If required, the doctor/pharmacist/nurse practitioner will arrange any necessary in person consultations with you directly during your call.

The admin staff are all fully trained in Care Navigation and can advise on the best use of our services.

ALL members of the Practice Team are bound by the same guidance in relation to GDPR and patient confidentiality.

It is important that you are available to answer your call when the Practice calls you back – returning missed calls takes up valuable time.

For appointments for Treatment Room, Baby Clinic, Smear clinic and chronic disease monitoring or for test results and general enquiries please call Reception after 10.30am.

We appreciate that Reception and the telephone lines can be extremely busy, especially in the morning time – we are grateful for your patience and co-operation.

Did you know that the Practice is actively involved in the teaching of medical students from QUB? - you may receive your callback or appointment with one of them, we're sure you'll make them feel very welcome!
