Booking an appointment ....
At present we are currently operating a telephone consultation basis for all GP appointments. These are available each day, with each GP on duty having up to 15 telephone calls available (excluding medical emergencies).
Telephone calls are available for booking from 8am on a first come first serve basis.
The reception staff will ask for some brief details of your condition, this will allow the GPs to triage their call list. You will also be asked to provide a contact number on which to receive your return call - it is your responsibility to make yourself available to receive your call back. Once these calls are all full, all callers will be asked to call again on the following working day.
Anyone who requires a face to face appointment will have this arranged for them personally by the GP.
Treatment Room, baby clinic and smear clinic appointments are all available for booking via reception.
Prescription collection is via nominated pharmacy only - this means your chemist will collect your prescription from the surgery on your behalf. If you have not nominated a pharmacy to do this, please speak to reception to have this set up.
Please remember to allow 48hrs between ordering and collection, making allowances for weekends and holidays.
Test results ....
Test results are available by contacting the Practice by telephone after 3.00pm.
The Reception staff can provide details of test results provided these have been signed off by the GP.
Anyone needing to discuss results with a GP should speak to reception advising them of this.
Repeat prescriptions are available using a number of different methods. You can write or call at the Practice, by telephone using the automated repeat prescription line or via our online services - please ask reception for further details or see information on this website.
To order by phone, simply contact the Practice on the usual number and follow the simple instructions given.
The repeat prescription line is open Monday - Friday 8.30am-12.15pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm.

Weekend and night cover ....
Patients or their carer are requested to contact the Practice before 10.30am on the day a visit is required.
Please give the Receptionist as much information as possible to allow the doctor to allocate priority for home visits in the most efficient way.
Please only request a home visit if absolutely necessary - remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit.
Out of hours cover is provided by North & West Urgent Care who are available from 6.00pm Monday to Friday, at weekends and at holiday periods.
